Na záver prvého školského roka s IB Diploma Programme sme sa všetci zišli v laboratóriu fyziky, kde nám štvorčlenné skupiny žiakov prezentovali výsledky svojej tímovej práce na konkrétnu vedeckú tému. Povinne museli zapracovať pohľad z oblasti fyziky, chémie a biológie a zvládli to výborne.
Dozvedeli sme sa, čo všetko treba brať do úvahy pri designovaní ideálneho fitness centra aj modernej školy, so záujmom sme si pozreli prezentáciu o droždí a o vertikálnom pestovaní špenátu. Bádanie, tímová spolupráca a prezentačné zručnosti vytvorili puzzle, v ktorom dieliky do seba perfektne zapadli. Good job, guys!
At the end of the first school year with the IB Diploma Programme, we all gathered in the Physics lab where students in groups of four presented the results of their teamwork on a specific science topic. They were required to incorporate insights from Physics, Chemistry and Biology and they did very well.
We learned about all the things that need to be taken into account when designing an ideal fitness centre and a modern school, and we watched with interest a presentation about yeast and vertical cultivation of spinach. In the end, research, teamwork and presentation skills created a puzzle in which the pieces fit together perfectly. Good job, guys!
