Náš projekt Erasmus+: Po stopách židovskej histórie v Európe so žiakmi a učiteľmi z Nemecka a Litvy sme úspešne zavŕšili. Prečo nás oslovila práve táto téma? Čoraz častejšie sa v našej spoločnosti stretávame s antisemitskými postojmi. Z tohto dôvodu sme sa rozhodli pre projekt, v ktorom sme sa zamerali na skúmanie židovskej histórie. Takýmto spôsobom totiž možno čeliť antisemitizmu a diskriminácii.
V každej krajine sme navštívili miesta, ktoré súviseli so židovskou minulosťou — nádherné synagógy, pamätníky, múzeá a koncentračný tábor, kde sme si pripomenuli tragický osud židovskej komunity. Zaujal nás aj výnimočný projekt pamätných kameňov Stolpersteine, ktoré sú uložené ako nenápadná spomienka pred domom obetí nacistov.
Všetky vedomosti, zážitky a emócie spracovali žiaci spoločne vo forme fotografií a textov. Vznikla úžasné dielo, ktoré nám pripomína, že judaizmus je dôležitou súčasťou našej minulosti a súčasnosti.
Len desaťročia nás delia od obdobia, kedy boli ľudia zabíjaní v koncentračných táboroch. Všetko to začalo slovami a končilo fyzickou likvidáciou. Ak nechceme, aby sa tragická história zopakovala, postačí nešíriť nenávisť a nepodceňovať váhu slov. Je lepšie sa z histórie poučiť, ako ju opakovať.
Projekty Erasmus+ otvárajú nové pohľady, vytvárajú nezabudnuteľné priateľstvá, zážitky a skúsenosti a zlepšujú jazykové zručnosti.
Completion of the project In the Footsteps of Jewish History in Europe
We have successfully completed our Erasmus+ project: following the traces of Jewish history in Europe with pupils and teachers from Germany and Lithuania. Why did this topic appeal to us? Increasingly, we are encountering anti-Semitic attitudes in our society. For this reason, we decided on a project in which we focused on the exploration of Jewish history. In this way, anti-Semitism and discrimination can be confronted.
In each country, we visited places connected to the Jewish past — beautiful synagogues, memorials, museums and a concentration camp, where we were reminded of the tragic fate of the Jewish community. We were also intrigued by the extraordinary Stolpersteine memorial stones project, which are placed as an unobtrusive reminder in front of the houses of the victims of the Nazis.
All the knowledge, experiences and emotions were processed by the pupils together in the form of photographs and texts. The result is an amazing piece of work that reminds us that Judaism is an important part of our past and present.
We are only decades away from a time when people were killed in concentration camps. It all started with words and ended with physical liquidation. If we do not want a repeat of that tragic history, it is enough not to spread hatred and not to underestimate the weight of words. It is better to learn from history than to repeat it.
